Jayi (“Jayi”, “we”, “us”) provides an AI-assisted accounting platform that helps accounting professionals review and maintain their clients’ books (the “Service”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. Name, email address, and login credentials for the professionals who use the Service.
• Accounting data you authorize. When you connect a QuickBooks Online company, we access accounting records for that company with your authorization — including transactions, chart of accounts, vendors, customers, and invoices — solely to provide the Service.
• Usage and log data. Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken in the Service, used for security and reliability.

2. How we use information

• To operate the Service: analyze uncategorized transactions, propose categorizations with supporting evidence, and — only after a human reviewer approves — write updates back to the connected accounting system.
• To secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
• To communicate with you about the Service and provide support.

We do notsell personal information, and we do not use your clients’ accounting data for advertising.

3. QuickBooks Online and Intuit

Connections to QuickBooks Online use Intuit’s OAuth authorization. We access only the data scopes you authorize, and we store access credentials securely and never share them. You may disconnect a QuickBooks company at any time from the Service or from your Intuit account settings, which revokes our access. Jayi is an independent application and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Intuit Inc.

4. AI processing

To generate categorization suggestions, relevant transaction context may be processed by our AI infrastructure provider (Anthropic) under agreements that restrict use of the data to providing the Service. Data submitted through this processing is not used to train third-party foundation models. Every AI-generated suggestion is presented to a human reviewer with its supporting evidence before any change is made to the books.

5. How we share information

• Service providers that host and operate our infrastructure (e.g., cloud hosting and database providers), bound to use data only on our behalf.
• Legal requirements, when required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Jayi, our users, or others.
• Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you disconnect a client’s accounting system or close your account, you may request deletion of the associated data, and we will delete it within a commercially reasonable period except where retention is required by law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect data, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and isolated infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated to account holders directly.
